Pride: Building the World We Want – A Virtual Playback Show
-
June 28, 2021
7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
On the 52nd anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, we honor the legacy of LGBTQIA+ activists and elders who have paved the way for a more just world, and whose work we must continue. We invite you to join us around stories of building the world we want: the ways we have already built it and the ways we must build it still, ways in which you’ve built more of the life you want, and the dreams you have for what your world could be. In honor of Pride month, we will center LGBTQIA+ stories, though allies are welcome.
The Chicago Playback Theatre Ensemble (CPTE) cultivates empathy, community, and hope through storytelling. To do this, we help audience members share their own memories and experiences which the actors then perform using improv and movement.
June 28th, 7:30pm – 9:00pm CT
