Identity Over Time
-
March 12, 2023
7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Whether gradual or sudden, desired or unwanted, our identities and relationships to them inevitably change over time. We might learn to love a part of ourselves we once felt shame for. Or we might shed an old part of ourselves and become something new, such as becoming a parent, growing older, or gaining a disability. What relationships have you had with your identities over time?
The Chicago Playback Theatre Ensemble cultivates empathy, community, and dialogue through storytelling. During this performance the audience will be invited to tell stories from their lives, then the story will be “played back” by the actors using improv and music. Personal sharing is encouraged and entirely voluntary. Feel free to tell a story or to enjoy the stories of others.
Sunday, March 12th from 7:00pm-8:30pm, stay for drinks and mingling until 9:00pm
