Coming this October, the Belmont Theater District is excited to welcome her newest show, THE CLEANUP. This will be Palladino’s first full length show and will be shown at the Athenaeum Center. Palladino attended the University of Chicago to study theater and after graduating focused her artistic energy into storytelling. When Palladino re-entered the theater world being a mom of young children, she discovered the challenges that come with being a caregiver and participating in theater. To make her shows more accessible to care givers, there will be child friendly viewings of THE CLEANUP to ensure everyone can enjoy the show. THE CLEANUP production has partnered with multiple organizations to provide childcare during the show and make the productions caregiver friendly. Palladino wants to emphasize the importance of building community, not just in her writing but in the theater community. Theater is meant to be enjoyed by all and Hallie Palladino is ensuring that her production can be enjoyed by everyone in the community no matter their current circumstances and life commitments.

Seeking community post-quarantine, Nicole joins the toy cleaning committee at The Learning Co-Op where toddler parents covertly socialize under a halo of sanitation. There she meets Logan, a swoon-worthy superdad. To get closer she becomes the school’s star volunteer causing Julie and Ryan, TLC’s burnt-out founders, to tap her as their replacement. A tale of love, friendship, and the messes we make in their pursuit.
Previews run October 13- October 20
