A two act musical about the first straight baseball player in a world where all professional athletes are gay.

The Chicago Otters are in trouble. Their star player Lance Valentine suffered a season ending injury. The owners of the team refuse to pay for any more big contracts so management decides to have an open tryout. Iowa farm kid Jimmy Roberts would be perfect for such an opportunity- he wields a baseball bat like Thor does a hammer. There is only one problem: he’s straight and deeply in love with his girlfriend Penny. Figuring that this is a once in a lifetime opportunity, Jimmy decides to lie about his sexuality and convinces Penny to come along for the ride as his “sister” in pursuit of both their dreams. Jimmy ends up making the team, but will life as a big city professional athlete with all its temptations, conniving agents, and money lead Jimmy and Penny down the wrong path? Will his secret be revealed? I guess y’all just have to buy a ticket to find out!

The cast of Matt Damon Improv is comprised of all women of color “slaying improv comedy,” sometimes featuring a special guest white male(Matt Damon) or female (Lena Dunham) improv comedy veteran who can only speak when repeating things that the women of Matt Damon Improv have already said in the show – forcing the guest Matt Damon/Lena Dunham to really listen and take a baby step in a woman of color’s shoes.
The weekly variety show will also showcase guest stand-up, sketch comedy, and solo performance acts by women of color. Each weekly show promises to be “Intersectional AF” and provide a safe platform for women of color to share performances that confront the current racial tension and social issues within the world around us.
